Fair question. We get asked fifty times a week.
The honest answer: there is no one price. Your price depends on your setup. If you buy one pallet or 11 pallets the price you pay is different — obviously but there is more to it than how much you buy. Got your own warehouse? Your price drops. Need us to handle customs, taxes and legal transport? Your price changes again. The more you bring, the less you pay. Your setup decides your price.
That's what this guide is really about. It walks you through the four things every distributor needs, shows you how to get the ones you're missing, and explains the logistics side — the part that stops most people. By the end you'll know two things: how to work in this industry legally, and how to build a setup that pulls your price down and pushes your profit up.
Ten minutes of reading. It'll pay better than most meetings you've had this year.
What it means: A real, registered business. Not your name. Not a hobby. A company that pays tax and gets proper invoices.
Why we ask: Food-grade N₂O (E942) is a professional product. Spanish law says business use only — kitchens, bars, licensed resellers. Real companies keep you legal, keep us legal, and keep a clean paper trail. Everyone sleeps well.
How to get one:
Free check: Type any EU VAT number into the VIES website. If it says valid, you pass this step. Congratulations, that was the fastest exam of your life.
What it means: Your company's tax ID in Spain. Looks like B12345678. (Officially it's called a NIF since 2008. Nobody says NIF. Everyone says CIF. Language is funny like that.)
Why we ask: Your CIF proves your company is real. We check it as part of our verification. And every invoice must show it — that's the law, not us being fussy.
How to get one:
What it means: You pay the full order before it ships. Bank transfer (or crypto, if that's your thing). No credit for new distributors.
Why we ask: Simple math. Chasing unpaid invoices costs money, and that cost ends up in prices. We don't chase, so you don't pay for chasers. It also keeps every deal clean and easy to check — which matters a lot with a regulated product.
How it works:
What it means: We deliver to warehouses, storage units, and business premises. Not shops. Not homes. If your plan was "the garage," we need to talk.
Why: Pallets need real unloading space. And a commercial address shows the product goes into a real supply chain — not onto a shelf where anyone can grab it. Spanish law bans selling N₂O for recreational use, and this rule helps make sure that never happens through our network. Useful to know: in Spain you can store and move up to 1,000 kg net of N₂O without an APQ-5 licence — so a normal business unit can be enough.
How to get one:
Most people think the hard part of this business is finding customers. Nope. The hard part is moving the product.
N₂O is not normal cargo. It travels under a UN number (UN 1070) as a dangerous good. It doesn't burn — but it's an oxidiser, which means it makes everything near it burn better. Regulators, understandably, have feelings about that.
So here's what "just import it yourself" actually looks like:
Add it up and importing yourself means building a whole logistics company — customs agent, sea forwarder, ADR haulier, licensed warehouse, safety adviser, insurance, plus money tied up in stock while it all floats toward you.
Most people who want to sell N₂O do not want to run that. Trying to do both is why most attempts die in six months.
We built the logistics business first, then the distribution business on top.
The customs relationships, the ADR transport, the sea declarations, the compliant storage, the safety adviser, the insurance — it all exists on our side, audited and already paid for. The rules still get met in full on every shipment. You're just not the one who has to build the machine that meets them.
And the best part: we hold the stock on your island. Already shipped, already through customs, already legally stored. You draw it down as you sell. Two ways:
What this deletes from your to-do list:
You still need the four things at the top — company, CIF, advance payment, commercial address. Those never change. But your address can now be a normal business unit, not a licensed chemical store. That's the difference between needing around €30,000 and a year of permits — and needing a company and a customer.
Bonus: you become the fast one. A distributor who imports directly waits weeks — order, pay, boat, customs, delivery. You wait hours, because the stock is already on your island. Your customer runs out on a Saturday morning in August? You fix it that morning. In hospitality, being the supplier who answers in August beats being the supplier who's 2% cheaper. Every time.
Short version: the rules around N₂O are the biggest barrier in this market — and they're not getting looser. That barrier is also your shield. It's why nobody can pop up next month and undercut you. We carry the regulated end. You carry the customers. Nobody does the other's job badly.
Special trade pricing. Distributors pay less than regular trade customers, and more volume means better prices. Run the Profit Calculator for your market's numbers.
Exclusivity in your area. One distributor per area. Hold it, and we don't supply your competitors inside it. That's worth more than any discount — but areas are limited. Check the Distributor Map.
